Of all the things I want to write, this About Me page might be the hardest. The facts are easy enough: I’m a wife, mother, guardian, former Montessori teacher, and an unapologetic book fanatic. But let’s be honest—that’s not why anyone reads these pages.
Sure, some people are looking for credentials. (Though this is the internet—aren’t we all “qualified” by default?) But most readers are after something else: a spark, a sliver of connection, maybe even a little intrigue. And here’s the kicker—I don’t really do juicy. You’ll catch glimpses in my posts, but overall? I’m an open book, not a tabloid.
What I can offer is this: I love my family. I love living in the Southeast (though the West still holds a raw, aching piece of my heart). I love books in the way some people love oxygen. I didn’t take the time to figure out who I was when I was younger—so I’m doing it now, slowly and deliberately, by unbinding myself from the expectations and roles that held me too tightly for too long.
Come along, or don’t. You’ve got your own journey. But if you’re curious, I’m happy to share mine.
